I became a member of ASME in the year 2005, and have been very active since then. I founded the Pakistan Section, The UET Lahore Student Section, The NUST Student Section & The UET Peshawar Student Section. Currently I am the Secretary General of the Pakistan Section and also a board member of the Asia Pacific District Operating Board. I am the District G chairman for Student Matters and Early Career Engineers. I am also a member of some affinity comunities like the CSD and Entrepreneur's Network Group. I am also a contributor for Mechanical Advantage and K&C Newsletter. I am one of the organizers of the District G Humanitarian shelter student design contest.
I live in the beautiful and historical city of Lahore in Pakistan. This is a great place to be in, if any of you ever comes this way ... you are most welcome to be my guest. I run my own business and currently I am mainly involved in stock trading. I love photography and am a semi-pro photographer. I love doing stuff with computers and am good at graphics and videos. I have also created the websites for the Pakistan Section, HSSDC and UET Section. I have millions of hobbies, but I am an aviation freak and have about 30 miniature aircrafts in my home. I also design these aircrafts.
I’ve been active in the ASME organization since 2003, and I am currently a Member-at-Large of the Committee on Student Development (CSD) and the Committee on Early Career Development (CECD). I was the Student Section Chair of ASME Universidad Simón Bolívar Student Section in Venezuela for the term 2005-2006 and the Student Section Committee Representative of Latin America & Caribbean for the term 2006-2007. I’ve participated in the Student Design Contest (SDC) 2005, East Coast Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC) 2006, and organized with my Student Section two student conferences in Venezuela with more than 700 attendees in each.
I’ve been working hard to promote the creation and collaboration of student sections in Latin America & Caribbean. We have successfully formed new student sections in Venezuela, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guatemala, Peru, Chile and Costa Rica during this term.
I am also working with an international team to promote all the activities and benefits that our great society has all over the world. We’ve successfully integrated the activities of sections in multiple countries to enhance the cultural and technical development; thus, creating more benefits and networking opportunities as a team.
I am from Caracas, Venezuela. An amazing Latin Country with spectacular tourist places and very friendly people.
